New blog post for those that are interested. Some insight as to why I choose to run no matter how many people tell me I’m crazy 😜🤪 [link in bio] #runner #stjdreamcatcher
Legitimate 🖤☕️ I’m so glad I branched out today @themodernwellcoffee #localbusiness #rowlett #writing
My boy. Hands down the wittiest person in any room. If you need a laugh, he’s your guy.💙 I’ve been feeling extra proud of him this week. He’s hardly grown height wise since Kinder, but he did go from struggling through learning letters while everyone else was reading to being recommended for all honors classes in middle school. I admire his dedication and drive to be his best self. He’s the coolest. 😍 #boymom #myboy
Just a couple of old farts, drinking wine from solo cups and reading. Next up, grocery store sushi and Netflix. ❤️Valentine❤️#bemine #bemineforever
We did it! I’m very proud to say I finished my first Marathon. I finished in almost exactly 5 hours which is great considering there is a wind advisory today and I’m sure I was occasionally running in place. 😅 My goal was to finish in under 5 hours, but I’m not upset because I absolutely gave it everything I had. 26.2 #marathoner @pstadthagen #stjdreamcatcher
Happiest Birthday to my big kid! The one who regularly risks my plates to create memories for the kids. If he was on social media I’d tag him to thank him for being a loving and supportive husband and the best and most fun dad there is. We love him! 💕
8 years ago around this time of year, someone told me I’d never be anything but a fat a** Did I believe them? No I’m way too stubborn for that. In fact, I had forgotten that comment. It hasn’t crossed my mind in years. Today I completed a 20 mile training run. That’s over 3 1/2 hours of time to think. As you can imagine I think about a lot of things during that time. It’s one of the reasons I love running. I’ve always been a day dreamer. There was never a teacher in my life that didn’t tell me to come back from la la land. Sometimes I make up stories, sometimes I relive conversations, sometimes I brainstorm ideas for blog posts, and sometimes I just think about how bad it hurts and repeat “mind over matter, mind over matter.” Today, for whatever reason that conversation from all those years ago popped into my mind. My first thought was that same body with the help of the six inches between my ears is about to carry me though a 20 mile run. (On a Thursday.) Then I thought, what if I would have let that one opinion affect me until it was true. What if way back at the beginning of my running journey I had let that one opinion dictate whether or not I was a runner, or the best mom I know, or the most loyal and loving wife there is. Lord would my life be different. @msrachelhollis always says other people’s opinions are none of your business. I see what she means. Do you? PS. This podcast episode is stellar. I dare you to listen to this and not finish your workout strong. If @colinobrady can finish the last 70 something miles traversing Antarctica in 32 non stop hours. PULLING A 300+ POUND SLED. I can make mile 20 my fastest mile instead of giving up at mile 17 when it got hard. 3 weeks 3 days until race day. Let’s do this. 26.2 #marathontraining #runnershigh #26point2 #rachelhollisxlifecoaching
I spent this week updating some decor around the house. As much as I love Christmas decorations, I’m always so ready for Spring once they come down. Anyone else?
